"This set is excellent and i received it for my birthday, but i had bigger expectations for it.. But some details are missing. The storm trooper's cape thingy is orange in the fourth movie " A New Hope." Also, the light saber has to go on the left side in Luke's hand ( right for Obi-wan) in order for them to be able to sit in the land speeder. Finally, the storm trooper's helmet doesn't stay on very well. Over all i loved this set!"

"This rare set features six minifigures (R2-D2, C3-PO, Ben Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Sandtrooper and a Sentry Droid). It also has rare elements (for example, the Landspeeder windshield.) The back compartment comes off to reveal the secret lightsabre storage (although the lightsabres must be dismantled before they are put in.) In the landspeeder, there is space for Luke, Ben and C3-PO to sit. On the piece that can be lifted off to reveal the compartment, R2-D2's right leg can be put on the edge of it, so he can sit on it. Landspeeder details include a slightly broken engine and a steering wheel for the driver. Buy this set while it is still available."

I was very excited about this set and it met all of my expectations. Sure, there have been two previous incarnations of Luke's Landspeeder, but this one comes with all the minifigures you need to recreate the classic scenes from A New Hope. Also, this is only the 3rd set priced under $50 to feature C-3PO (and the 1st since 2003), so that alone is a big selling point. The landspeeder is fairly detailed for the size, and does include some hard-to-find pieces.
As others have stated, the set is a little overpriced. The set does not come with any exclusive minifigures or pieces, nor does it really include a wide variety of pieces (it's just one little speeder, after all). It seems the company has decided that minifigures are the main draw for most sets, and so they can charge more for them.
